The Airport Runway Becomes a Surreal Backdrop for Jil Sander’s FW26 Campaign

Jil Sander has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, crafted under the creative direction of Simone Bellotti. Shot on the open tarmac of a private airport runway by photographer and videographer Moni Haworth, the visual narrative presents a surreal, outdoor interior setup featuring foil-wrapped sofas and latex-covered tables.

Starring models Edie Campbell and Daisuke Ueda, the campaign embraces grainy VHS textures, desaturated hues, and a cinematic tension echoing the styles of Hitchcock and Fassbinder. Anchored by the score "If This Is Hell” by Space Afrika featuring Deuén, the campaign channels an unsettling yet elegant atmosphere, charged with what Bellotti describes as “erotic electricity.” The juxtaposition of minimalism and excess, of addition and subtraction, defines the season’s mood — an abstract story where beauty lies in contradiction.

The featured seasonal lineup twists Jil Sander's signature stripped-back minimalism through a framework of heightened restraint and subtle contradiction. The collection focuses on precise, abridged silhouettes where the superfluous is stripped away to highlight pure essential form.
