Lando Norris is reshaping the pipeline to the grid following his 2025 Formula One World Championship victory. Ahead of the 2026 Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the driver formally launched LN4 Fusion, a newly established junior single-seater racing team. This debut marks a historic shift in motorsport infrastructure as the first instance of a modern F1 champion directly backing a team in the junior categories. Personal financial backing from Norris and an investment group fund the organization. Because the driver previously identified the high cost of entry as a fundamental problem, the project works to lower specific barriers for entry through this new structure. The move signals a shift toward veteran drivers taking direct ownership of the developmental paths that once produced them.

LN4 Fusion officially commences racing operations in 2027 with a significant footprint across the continent. Confirmation of entries in the FIA F3 Championship, the Italian F4 Championship and the FIA Formula Regional European Championship establishes its initial competitive reach. It strategically acquired key assets from the German outfit AIX Racing to lock down its presence on the F3 grid through the 2027 season. Ambitions extend further up the ladder with a formal application already submitted to participate in the FIA F2 Championship.

The LN4 Legacy programme, established by Norris, serves as a core developmental pillar to ensure the pipeline stays primed with elite prospects. This initiative identifies and provides financial, coaching and career support to young drivers starting in karting. Personnel and experience from Fusion Motorsport, which has operated in UK karting for 25 years, provide the foundation for the new team. Dan Hazlewood, the head of Fusion Motorsport karting, steps up to act as team principal for the UK operation. Operations for this division run out of a British base in Cambridgeshire that currently hosts a British Formula 4 testing programme to prepare for future championship entries.

Securing veteran leadership remains central to the project's competitive edge. Former Prema team principal René Rosin serves as the team principal of LN4 Fusion, bringing a proven developmental record to the new stable. Dan Richards oversees operations as the chief executive of the broader organization. To house continental ambitions under Rosin and Richards, the organization is developing a European headquarters in the Veneto region of northern Italy.
