New Era and Carlos Sainz have introduced TEAM FIFTY5, the first headwear and apparel collection from the Formula 1 driver's community brand. Built around Sainz's own aesthetic, the debut range carries the identity of TEAM FIFTY5, named after his car number, off the racetrack and into an everyday wardrobe.

The product mix leans on New Era's core headwear vocabulary. Caps arrive across the 9TWENTY, 9FORTY and 9FORTY A-Frame silhouettes, giving the collection a spread from structured to relaxed fits, while the apparel side covers loose and oversized T-shirts and hoodies alongside slim and cropped women's tees. Detailing is where the personal touches land: select pieces feature direct embroidery and a woven red chili pepper, a reference to Sainz's "Chili" nickname that doubles as the emblem of the TEAM FIFTY5 community.

The palette keeps things deliberately understated, running through outdoor green, off-white, white, faded blue and red, in line with a creative direction the brand roots in elevated essentials and European heritage. The intent is a set of pieces that reads as considered and versatile rather than loudly branded motorsport merchandise, wearable well beyond a race weekend. Against that restrained backdrop, one piece breaks from the muted tone: a yellow 9FORTY cap with red details, created for fans in the TEAM FIFTY5 Grandstand at Sainz's home race in Madrid. The color pulls from one of the driver's favorites while nodding to the yellow of the Spanish flag, positioning it as the collection's most overtly personal design.

That balance between product and personal narrative is the point of the collaboration. For Sainz, the collection is a way to extend a fan community he has built over his career into something tangible and everyday. "TEAM FIFTY5 is part of who I am since the beginning of my career," he said. "With this collection, we wanted to create something that feels authentic to that identity but can be worn every day. New Era understands the connection between sport, culture and personal style, and I'm proud of what we have created together." New Era, for its part, frames the tie-up as a natural extension of its own territory. Patrik Söderström, New Era VP EMEA, described TEAM FIFTY5 as "a natural meeting point between elite motorsport and contemporary lifestyle," created in close collaboration with Sainz and his team while staying true to the brand's heritage in headwear, sport and culture.

Reinforcing that off-track positioning, the launch campaign was shot in Mallorca during the summer break, featuring Sainz and his team away from the paddock. It is a framing that treats the collection less as trackside merch and more as a lifestyle line with its own identity.

The TEAM FIFTY5 collection will be available through New Era and Carlos Sainz's online channels, the New Era Madrid store at Gran Via 15, and select wholesale partners.
