Netflix has officially released the full trailer for Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, marking the fourth installment in Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s true-crime anthology series.The upcoming season stars Ella Beatty as the infamous title character accused of the 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother.

The eight-episode season explores the repressed dynamics of a wealthy 19th-century New England family as Lizzie Borden and her maid escape into a world of revenge following familial cruelty. Beatty leads the cast alongside Charlie Hunnam and Rebecca Hall, who portray Borden’s father and stepmother. The series also features appearances from Sarah Paulson as serial killer Aileen Wuornos and Vicky Krieps as Elizabeth Báthory, expanding Murphy's thematic exploration of history's most notorious figures.

Max Winkler directs six episodes of the season, with Sarah Adina Smith helming episodes four and six. Co-created and written by Ian Brennan, the series is executive produced by Murphy, Brennan, Winkler, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Louise Shore, Nissa Diederich, Todd Kubrak, Carl Franklin, and Tanase Popa. The story follows previous iterations of the Monster franchise that focused on Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez brothers, and Ed Gein.
