Summary

TUDOR officially brings back the cult-classic Northflag in a 40mm steel case.Priced at $5,525 USD, it features an integrated bracelet, monobloc ceramic hour markers, and a new GMT complication. The timepiece is powered by the Master Chronometer-certified METAS Manufacture Calibre MT5652-U.

TUDOR has revived one of its most celebrated cult-classic tool watches with the return of the Northflag. Originally launched in 2015 as the first TUDOR timepiece to feature an in-house movement, the Northflag draws its foundational inspiration from the rugged equipment issued during the British North Greenland Expedition of the 1950s, as well as the distinctive aesthetics of the 1973 Ranger II. This second-generation evolution preserves the collection's utilitarian, ice-cold lineage while introducing a brand-new GMT function and Master Chronometer certification.

Housed in a 40mm 316L stainless steel case measuring 12.7mm thick, the watch maintains its signature integrated design where the case seamlessly flows into a dedicated two-link steel bracelet. The design combines satin-brushed surfaces, polished chamfers and a cone-shaped screw-down crown with a matte bead-blasted finish. Framing the black dial is an angled 45-degree rehaut with a 24-hour graduation, complemented by monobloc ceramic luminous hour markers, arrow-shaped hands, and a vivid yellow GMT hand. Built for versatile daily wear and arctic durability, the integrated bracelet comes fitted with TUDOR’s "T-fit" rapid adjustment clasp, which offers 8mm of tool-free micro-adjustment alongside ceramic ball bearings for a tactile, secure closure.

Visible through the open caseback is the in-house Manufacture Calibre MT5652-U, which integrates the GMT function directly into its architecture. The movement also features a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, a variable-inertia balance wheel and a 65-hour "weekend-proof" power reserve. Rigorously tested to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, the watch is dual-certified by COSC and METAS as a Master Chronometer, complete with up to 100 meters of water resistance.

Priced at $5,525 USD, the new TUDOR Northflag is available via the brand's webstore and physical stores and includes a five-year transferable guarantee.
