Hand-assembled by skilled craftsmen and women at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Shiojiri, Nagano Prefecture, the movement achieves its precision by vacuum sealing the crystal oscillator together with a low-power IC.

Prior to assembly, each oscillator undergoes a three-month aging process for frequency stabilization, after which its frequency is measured across multiple temperatures so that tailored data can be programmed into the IC for precise thermo-compensation. This sealed capsule minimizes the impact of external variables including temperature, humidity, static electricity, and light. Built with long-term serviceability in mind, the movement also features an integrated regulation switch for after-sales service to correct potential divergences in accuracy over extended use, while driving a 72-hour power reserve and a dial-side power-reserve indicator within compact caliber dimensions measuring 30.0mm in diameter and 4.7mm in thickness.

Completing the timepiece is a newly developed locking extension clasp designed for versatile wear. It features a three-step micro-adjustment system with up to 6mm of fine-tuning for everyday comfort. Together with an 18mm diving suit extension, the clasp provides up to 24mm of total adjustment, while the GS emblem doubles as a locking mechanism to prevent accidental release.
