Broadway’s production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set to welcome Rupert Grint back to his iconic role as Ron Weasley. The actor will reprise the character for the first time in 15 years for a limited engagement at the Lyric Theatre.

Grint, who portrayed the character across all eight original feature films from 2001 to 2011, will play an adult version of Weasley in the production, which centers on the next generation of Hogwarts students. His 17-week engagement runs from February 2 to May 30, 2027, following a successful Broadway run by fellow original film cast member Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy.

Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender highlighted Grint's return as a bridge between the original films and the stage production's exploration of family and legacy.
