PORTER has returned to New York with the PORTER LIMITED STORE, a five-day pop-up from parent company YOSHIDA & Co. that puts the brand's Made-in-Japan construction on full view. Marking the label's first NYC appearance in a year, the temporary shop pulls together current collections from three of the company's brands under one roof.
The selection leans into the range of YOSHIDA & Co.'s catalog. From the core PORTER line, the store carries the MONOCHROME backpack and the VINIL shoulder bag, while the POTR label brings its RIDE series across nine separate pieces. The L.L. brand rounds out the assortment with three distinct silhouettes: the OLDNEW shoulder bag, the TRUE BLUE flap shoulder bag and the FILAMENT vertical tote.
Collaborative work sits alongside the mainline goods. The pop-up stocks the Aurel Schmidt x PORTER capsule and a HELLO KITTY x PORTER range that stretches across backpacks and smaller carry pieces. Each item reflects the same production standard the brand is known for, hand-assembled and sewn by Japanese artisans, a process rooted in the company's more-than-90-year history. That craftsmanship extends to the fixtures themselves, with original in-store displays designed specifically for the New York space.
Beyond the bags, the store offers the recently released official visual book, YOSHIDA & Co. 90 Anniversary BOOK, available in both a Collectors Edition and a Library Edition. A selection of special items available exclusively at select locations rounds out what's on the floor.
The PORTER LIMITED STORE runs until September 6 at 21 Spring Street in SOHO, on the corner of Spring and Elizabeth St.
