Following up on their big return to NYFW in early 2026, Public School has now unveiled its FW26 campaign, “The City Is Mine.” Through a nocturnal photo series, the campaign traverses the places that have defined Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne’s label, from the neon-lit streets of Manhattan to the feet of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Shot by Joshua Woods and featuring Scott Barnhill, MJ Marte, and Idriys Ali-Chow, the photos showcase some of the standout pieces from the collection. Statement outerwear focuses on trench silhouettes, including a sleek black leather overcoat and a belted gray tweed coat, flowing in the breeze. For tailoring, a minimal black suit, worn by Idriys, is styled with a sepia-toned graphic button-up, while a black jacket, worn by Scott, features a toggled standing collar.
Heavily shaped by its NYC provenance, Public School continues to look to the city’s diverse culture and the versatile ways of dressing across communities. Their latest collection combines influences from tailoring, sportswear, and streetwear, rooted in the movement between differing environments and expressions of style across the five boroughs.
In Public School’s recent digital cover story for Hypebeast, Dao Yi-Chow reflected on how NYC continues to push their direction, “When we talk about our version of New York, it always comes back to the same things: ease, a high taste level that comes from exposure to so many different cultures, versatility, and modularity.” “The universal idea of New York isn’t necessarily about the clothes you wear. It’s about how you wear them. It’s the attitude,” Dao added.
