Amazon MGM Studios has officially debuted the trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I?, bringing Sacha Baron Cohen’s iconic satirical persona back to the big screen. The covertly filmed mockumentary catches up with the Staines rudeboy as he grapples with impending fatherhood.
The narrative picks up two decades after Ali G's last major outing, revealing that his long-term girlfriend, Julie—played by Morgana Robinson—is eight months pregnant. Motivated by the need to support his growing family, Ali G travels to the United States in an attempt to reclaim his former notoriety, resulting in unscripted interactions with unsuspecting public figures. The synopsis reads, "Faced with an extra mouth to feed, he gets off his batty and heads to America to reclaim his former glory… but soon encounters adversaries who will ultimately threaten his and his child’s very existence."
First developed on Channel 4's The 11 O'Clock Show in 1998 before starring in Da Ali G Show and 2002's Ali G Indahouse, the character returns using the guerilla mockumentary format seen in Borat, Brüno, and Who Is America? Produced under his Four by Two Films banner alongside executive producers Petr Jákl and Emily Kob, the project also serves as Cohen’s feature directorial debut.
Ali G: Who Iz I? officially releases in theaters on October 23, 2026.
